Microsoft Exam Help

In MCITP certification there are two kind of certification that you can do. One is

Server administration which has three exams (83-640, 70-642 and 70-646)

and other one is

Enterprise Administration which has five exams 83-640, 70-642, 70-643 has to be done without any choice and 70-620 or 70-624 or 70-680 can be done as your choice. You have to do only one exam above three exams. Remember 70-624 will last until October 2010.

They will replace a new exam for that. Still I don’t get any detail about that. When I have it I’ll let u know. Finally you have to do 70-647 exams to become an enterprise admin.

Still I’m doing Server administration. I have only 70-646 exam to complete the certification. I will put all guides that I followed to do the exam.

Server Administration Certification Help

You need to do 70-640 (83-640) Exam as the starter

Basically this exam helps you to understand about the server 2008 environment and familiar with that. This will teach you

• Active Directory
• DNS
• Certificate Server
• Adding Server roles and many basics stuff.

And sometimes Sri Lankan exam centers don’t know about this 83-640 exam. They may say this exam not excites. But you must say 70-640 exam now replaced with 83-640. and also try to find a better place to do this exam. Coz in practical exam u need to logging to remote servers.

Exam 70-642 Configuring Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure

Next step of you MCITP carrier..

Basically this will cover some IP subneting parts and IP assigning parts, Some DNS stuff, Folder haring, Network access protection and many more… and this will increase u r server 2008 ability.

This exam doesn’t contain any lab or any simulations. It contains 40 MCQ questions. Exam last for 1 ½ h … So that’s it…

Exam 70-646 Windows Server 2008, Server Administrator

The Last exam of server administration is 70-646. We can do this exam very accurately because lot stuff is covered in previous two exams. This has some addition lessons also. Like configuring VPN stuff. This is a very happy exam because if we had a doubtful part of previous exams we can clarify those within this exam. But we must learn coz it refresh our knowledge. I am going to do this exam as soon as I can.

I was used sybex ebook for study. That book was very help full than Microsoft press book. It explains every thing well. I try to upload all sybex books. Still I didn’t get any of those for previous exams.

This System is targeted to reduce the system administrators work load. and also provide a control to the remote machine from the hardware level.

ARPMS is hardware based network Management tool. U will confuse what is this hardware level and things... actually using this software, u can control a remote machine from the hardware level. Which means basically u can switch on a remote machine, Restart a remote machine and shutdown. These are the basic operations which our system can provide.Our System made to reduce the Desk-side visit of the system administrators.

Our system capable of..............

• ARPMS provide a terminal to Edit BIOS of remote Machine. Admin can edit BIOS of a remote machine from seated on his seat.
• ARPMS retrieve hardware assets details without bothering remote machine power state or OS. Gathering process of our system take all the hardware details and store them on a database for reporting purpose.
• ARPMS uses Remote Installation server(RIS) to deploy both closed source and open source OS. Administrator can do initial step of RIS configuration from his seat and any OS will install to the Remote PC automatically(unattended).
• ARPMS is capable of remove a machine from the exciting network. This is a innovative way of removing a machine from the network without visiting to that machine or switch to unlpug the network cable. administrator wants only to click disconnect button provided in our system to remove the machine virtually from the network. Then that machine is not in the network. and also admin can reconnect back that machine to the network.

Innovation of our system is ARPMS don't bother about operating system of remote machine. Yes it is true. we neglect remote machine OS. If there is OS or not ARPMS capable enough to control that machine. All those above functions can be done if the remote machine is in shutdown state. That is the powerfulness of ARPMS.

Administrator can perform those main tasks from a one place he don't want to move to do these tasks.

Intel AMT is firmware which is embedded into motherboard.
